Tonawanda Street Site Cleanup Proposed

On Tonawanda Street in Buffalo there is under consideration a cleanup of the dangerous materials in the soil. The toxins accumulated at the site over many years. A proposal to make the site environmentally safe is described in detail on the page referenced below.

After remediation of the contaminated soil is accomplished, this mostly vacant property could be put back to productive use.

This brownfield site, with its proximity to highways, waterways and railways, may soon become an asset to the people and businesses of Western New York and Southern Ontario.

Tonawanda Street Brownfield

The site is located in an urban area in the Black Rock area of the City of Buffalo. The project includes two separate properties one on the west side and one on the east side of Tonawanda Street.
